as a person who doesnt go north of the jolly bridge nor south of the goodland bridge I say put the toll on the bridge who is kidding who when they think resturants won't survive they have a captive audience and once the toll is on the bridge they will be even more captive if anyone really thinks people from naples come to marco island for dinner then they are only kidding themselves naples has many many wonderful resturants Marco island has the same sysco crap reconstituted to fit the name of the resturant
also if Marco's resturants can survive the sewer disaster then they can handle a toll on the bridge oh and anyone that thinks they will just take 41 and use the goodland bridge dont be so quick to think that bridge will be free our city father might be crooks buth they are not fools they seel a dollar opportunity and they go for it

to comment on Ms. Wackerman's comments on abortion vs. peta people who look like mothers I personally know chickens with whom I would rather spend my time with of course by all means lets run out and stop underage, unwanted or illeagle alien babies who will be a drain on our tax paying dollars I say save the chickens put all children on birth control till they have earned the money to care for a human life and should a woman want an abortion who am I or you to stop her.

looks to me like the city has spend all of our money on special needs projects i.e. the beautifacation committee, the museum, strp, light posts, and negected to take care of the basic needs of the island very poor stewardship in my opinion property taxes are suppose to pay for the things that keep a city or county running fire police city or county management and when the rush to complete projects before you get voted out of office starts to rear it's ugly head of over spending then it is is time to make some serious changes where does all of our tax money go that we need to add an assesment to pay for fire service it is absolutly deplorable that our city and their acounting practices have come to this perhaps it is time that we become part of collier county again and have our police and fire merge with the county with this up comming election one hopes that the new council adopts a less vigours spending habit and just fixes what is ripped up and makes repairs when needed
On Marco plan to pay for fire services unveiled Monday night

anyone remember love canal in 10 years or so when children are born on the island with birth defects from parents that had to breath asbestos and gosh only know what else from the dewatering who will take responsability then oh wait they will all be long gone off to the hills of kentucky to horad the money stolen from the citizens of marco
I at 42 now have serious breathing problems probably cause by the de-watering or so says my doctors yes that is plural
I am already on sewer and wonder why the sewer plant wasn't the first thing to be replaced in this mess common sense tells you if the plant can't handle the input then you dont add to the system you fix the plant first then start the prosess of adding new sewers so now we have pipes in place and no method of treatment until we have the new plant and we have no money to build the new plant unless bank of america wants to front us the money but at the rate of cutting losses and running (flippers real estate) agents we wont have full time home owners left to be on the sewer isn't this a backward way to do things
the mackle brothers always thought they could get water to run up hill and couldn't what makes moss and council think thinks are any diffrent 30 years later

problem is so many people that come to marco are day trippers that are either driving around looking at how "the rich folk live" or they are casing the houses for fruit trees and pool equipment to steal
shouldn't our expensive camera system that reads license plates be able to give all the information as to weather we need a toll on the bridge oh that's right it doesnt work and has been swept under the rug or should it now be bridge
