Roger Raymond, Marco Island Charter Middle School athletic director, will coordinate basketball and running camps at the School in June.
The camps will run from June 2 to June 6 and June 6 to June 13.
The running camp costs $65 for a week and $120 for two weeks. The basketball camp is $80 for a week or $140 for two weeks.
Roger Raymond and daughter Jessica Raymond will operate the running camps. Each day begins at 7:30 a.m., concluding at 9 a.m.
The boys basketball camp, operated by Roger Raymond and Chris Farmer, will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. each day.
Craig Fisher, the Charter School girls coach, which had its best record in school history last season, will operate the camp from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. He will be assisted by sixth grade girls coach Alan Pernas.
Raymond said participants of the running camp will learn about nutrition, the tempo of running a race and conditioning. In basketball, conditioning, offensive and defensive drills and playing in game conditions will be taught.
