Marco police briefs: May 13
Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia
Officers responded to 167 N. Collier Blvd, Unit #V-3 regarding an investigation at 4:30 p.m. May 8. Officers made contact with the occupant of the residence. A search of the residence revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Defendant Yuriy Vasylynyn, 27 was placed under arrest possession and transported to the Naples Jail Center.
Theft
Ms. Chenoah Rose reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and had stolen her purse between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. May 8 at 789 Inlet Drive. Total estimated value of stolen property is approximately $45.00. Investigation continues.
Theft
It was reported that two bicycles belonging to a Marco Island teenager were stolen from a bicycle rack at 900 S. Collier Blvd. between 6:40 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. May 9. Total estimated value of stolen property is approximately $230.00. Investigation continues.
Theft
Mr. George Amerine reported that someone had stolen tools between 11:00 a.m. May 6 and 10:30 a.m. May 8 from a home under construction located at 444 Nassau Court. Total estimated value of stolen items is approximately $1260.00. Investigation continues.
DUI
An Officer conducted a stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense at 1900 San Marco Road at 7:03 p.m. May 11. While conducting the investigation the Officer observed an odor of alcohol. The driver was asked to perform a field sobriety test and failed. Defendant Susan Strickland, 52 of 209 Goodland Drive East, Goodland was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to the Naples Jail Center.
