A photograph that was submitted to yourmarco.com a couple of weeks ago made me smile and laugh. A mother had submitted a photo of her young son getting ready to go into the pool. He had two buck teeth, a little fro and was completely decked out from head to toe in colorful swimming gear.
It was an awesome photo and no one would have seen it if our reader hadn’t submitted it. This is why yourmarco.com is one of the best things about our site.
Yourmarco.com is the community section on our Web site where readers can submit their photos, news and videos. Not only do those submissions get posted on our Web site but they also are published in the print products of the Marco Eagle and ETC.
On average we get about two submissions a day. That’s not enough.
There are so many things that are happening on Marco that we want to know about. We want to see pictures of your children and your pets. We want to hear about events on the island. We want to see videos of your latest vacation and fishing adventures.
Our staff is shorthanded and we do our best to make sure that our community is covered but sometimes we can’t cover everything which is why yourmarco.com is a great place to submit your news.
We want to put the community into your community paper. Yourmarco.com belongs to you so use it.

You reap what you sow. For the past year your paper has reported on our City in a bias way. Now you must beg for readership from our residents? What did you expect? Your reporters do not verify stories, they write verbatum whatever the city tells them and yet you expect us to support your efforts? This paper is about to die because it was mismanaged and never understoood who it's readers were.

Once again Beowulf you are misinformed. The paper is getting ready to build a new building and press. The value of the capital expense is over $100,000,000. That does not sound like they are going anywhere, but up. The purpose of the article is to get people to use an already popular product. However, you would not know this because you sit in your dark house waiting for the world to end.
