Roger Raymond, Marco Island Charter Middle School athletic director, is having a running camp, Aug. 11-15 at the Charter School.
Assisted by former Lely running star Jessica Raymond, the camp is intended to get participants ready for the fall season of various sports.
“We have cross country, boys soccer, volleyball and cheerleading coming up and this would be a good way to get ready,” Raymond said.
The camp is for grades 5 through 8. The camp runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
“The camp is starting a little later in the morning so that participants can get used to warmer weather that they will experience as sports activities are held in the afternoon,” Raymond said.
Registration is at the Charter School office, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cost is $50.
For more information call Raymond, 293-8332.
