The public can help the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee get an A+.

What it needs to do is gather various school supplies for students at Tommie Barfield Elementary and Marco Island Charter Middle School.

On the list are: No. 2 pencils; black, blue and red pens, plastic rulers (metric and inches); pink bevel erasers; Post-It sticky note pads; assorted colored pencil packs; wide and regular ruled notebook paper; 1, 1.5 and 2-inch three-ring binders; highlighters; 5-inch blunt scissors; glue (4 oz. bottles or glue sticks); 8, 16, or 24-count crayon boxes; assorted pocket and broad folders; tabbed dividers for binders; marble composition notebooks; packages of thin, washable colored markers; packages of thick, washable colored markers; 3x5-inch index cards; and boxes of tissue.

Monetary donations are also being accepted. All items and donations will be accepted until Aug. 11 at the Chamber Office, 1102 N. Collier Blvd.
