The Marco Eagle again sponsors the oldest running benefit golf tournament, the 35th Annual Eagle Open, on Saturday at the Rookery at Marco.

All proceeds go to the Marco Island Sunrise and Noontime Rotary clubs. Proceeds from the event go to Island charities, including the Marco Island Charter Middle School.

Dick Shanahan, 860-4354, Debra Sanders, 248-7419 and Chuck Canfield, 642-3802, will answer any questions on the tourney, which is a four-person scramble event. Cost is $100 per player, or $400 a foursome. The fee includes a continental breakfast, greens fees, cart, luncheon, awards and souvenir bag.
