Mary Jane Hiestand, St. John Neumann girls golf coach, placed fourth in the Florida Women’s State Golf Association Stroke Play Championship over the weekend.
Playing at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Hiestand led after the first round, shooting a 71, but slipped to a 75 on the second day. Her third day score of 71 gave her a three-day total of 217.
Ashley Aguilera rallied on the final day, shooting 68, giving her a winning total of 213.
