The public is invited to attend the dedication celebration of Marco Island Charter Middle School at 6 p.m. Tuesday in MICMS gymnasium. The event will showcase a brand new facility, completed this year, after nine years of housing students in portable classrooms. George Abounader, Charter Middle School principal will participate as master of ceremonies for the evening. The dedication will be conducted by Pat Carroll, Vice Chair of Collier County School Board and will feature Dr. Dennis Thompson, Superintendent of Collier County School District, making additional comments. The ceremony is expected to last around 45 minutes. Refreshments and a tour will follow.
