A woman gave birth inside a van at a gas station tonight, a few miles from a Collier hospital.
Her husband had stopped at the Green Tree Plaza Mobil Gas Station along Airport-Pulling Road, just south of Immokalee Road, around 7 p.m. to get someone to call 911 because the woman was in labor.
By the time EMS arrived, the baby girl had already been born.
The baby was taken just a couple of miles away, to NCH North Collier Hospital.
“They are all doing well,” said Collier County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jamie Mosbach.
