</title><link>http://marconews.com/news/2008/oct/10/stocks-end-wild-session-mixed-dow-falls-128/?partner=RSS</link><description>Wall Street capped one of its worst weeks ever with a wild session Friday that saw the Dow Jones industrials gyrate within a 1,000 point range before closing with a relatively mild loss and the Nasdaq composite index actually ending with a modest advance. Investors were still agonizing over frozen credit markets, but seven days of massive losses and the possibility of further government support for the markets tempted some investors late in the session.

</title><link>http://marconews.com/news/2008/oct/09/enhancing-knowledge/?partner=RSS</link><description>It may seem mundane for a teacher to go to a seminar and come back with the knowledge that if you tap a shook-up soda can on its side before opening it, the liquid won’t gush in your face. We, as citizens, can be proud of the quality of that work and the attitude of the then city council that caused this achievement on our behalf.
